Foundry Fitness

Concept + Experience

Blurring the lines between private and public the gymnasium invites the public in at the ground floor to spectate and observe the activities within the gym. The architecture takes form from the rhythm of lap lanes that occupy the majority of the ground floor while rock walls and fitness rooms draw the eye skywards. The staggered masses and voids allow for a multitude of visual paths to connect gym members together and to the broader context surrounding the gym.
